Measure the longest points. Use “Deduct” for doors, windows, fitted kitchens or a bath that won't be tiled.
Covers cuts at the edges, breakage and a few spares for future repairs.
Add about 10% for a straight lay, 12% for a brick or offset lay, 15% for diagonal and 20% for herringbone. Rooms with many corners, pillars or niches need more. Large slabs such as 120 × 180 cm are costly to cut, so plan at least 10–12% and ask us to check the cutting plan.
Measure the length and width of the floor at the longest points, or the width and height of each wall. For L-shaped rooms, split the room into two rectangles and add each one as a separate area. Deduct doors, windows and anything fitted that won't be tiled.
It depends on the size and thickness. As a guide, 60 × 60 cm tiles come 4 to a box, 60 × 120 cm and 120 × 180 cm come 2 to a box, and large slabs such as 80 × 240 cm are packed one at a time. The calculator fills in a typical value — we confirm the exact packing with your quote.
Yes. Tiles are made in batches and shades can vary slightly between batches. Buying everything, including spares, from the same batch keeps the colour consistent. Keep a few spare tiles for future repairs.
